Good morning! I hope this beautiful summer day finds you worshiping the living God somewhere. He alone is worthy of all honor, glory, praise and worship!!
I'm ready to do this. This is why we came to NYC and enough sitting around now. As Ginia keeps reminding me, "Sarah, we PRAYED for this!" So let's go! But God, in His infinite wisdom, has me waiting yet one more day. When I drag myself out of bed tomorrow at 4:15 am, I'm sure I will feel like we could have waited a few more hours!
I'll spend today worshiping online with my home church family, going for a walk before it gets too busy out there (judging from last night's activity, I have loads of time!), waiting for Page and Joey to arrive, making a few last phone calls and preparing my heart with Jesus for the next step.
Great news! In a fluke repeated pre-op phone call, I took a chance and asked the gal if she knew who the anesthesiologist would be and SHE DID! So I at least got a name for Page to work with while I'm in surgery/recovery. Praise Jesus. He is going to work all this out.
My surgery is 5-6 hours so Annie won't report till after noon (unless you're one of those in Hawaii.) The kids are working out their visit plans and it is, of course, perfect. Joey will be here with Page on Monday. He is the right one for this because he is able to appropriately lighten up a serious situation. Then, I believe Jonathan relieves on Thursday. Annie doesn't know her plans yet, but they might include two tiny people with her. Again, our hosts are great. They have made it clear that they would love having little ones around.
That's it. I mostly want to share that we have a name for the anesthesiologist. Thank you for all your prayers up to this point and in the coming days. It's going to be intense with lots to go right and lots to go wrong. Please pray against the going wrong part!
I love each of you. See you on the other side.
Soli Deo Gloria!
