Sara’s Story

Site created on November 6, 2020

Hi all my lovely peoples! So, early Monday morning ( 5:15 am) i will be having ACDF surgery on C4-C6. They are going to remove my crappy disks and put some pretty cool new ones in. They are also going to do a fusion with donor bone and some crazy junk called *bone paste*. While they are in there digging around, they will provide me more space in my spinal canal, push my spinal cord back where its supposed to go and remove a few bone spurs as well as anything else they think they need to do. Then they are going to screw it all together with a titanium plate and stitch me up.  Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy. Anywho. Many of you guys have asked for an update when im out of surgery, so i am creating this page so that it is easy for my dear husband to let all of you guys know whats going on.  Thank you all for your support, encouragement and love. I am truly blessed to have each one of yall in my life. ❤❤😘😘

Journal entry by Sara Brock

Today was my 2 week postop appt. Everything is going relatively well.  I am right on schedule as far as healing. Still have a way to go but i am happy with the results so far. My voice is at 95%. My swallowing is at 95%. I am stull having periodic muscle spasms,  but that may go on for weeks/months. It takes about 6/8ish months to completely fuse and heal, but i should be back to my normal lovely self  by Christmas.  😁
As always, much love and thankfulness to all of you.🥰😘❤
