Sandy’s Story

Site created on September 9, 2019

Dear family and friends, thank you for all your support as we stand with Sandy. She knows we are all holding her in our prayers and hearts.  She has always been a fighter, and with Vince as her trusty squire she has bravely endured cancer for over 13 years.

Mom was admitted to the ER September 5th after some abdominal pain became too intense. Initially thought to be an inflammation, the doctors are calling it a “blockage” related to cancer.   She was discharged from Fairview Southdale on Sept 17th and is resting at home.  We we will continue to provide updates in the journal entries below.  Thank you for your love and support.  Love, The Sperrazza Family

Journal entry by Vince Sperrazza

I found this lovely poem that says how thankful we are for your participation in this journey, Thank you all and God's peace be with you.

Perhaps you sent a lovely card,
Or sat quietly in a chair.
Perhaps you sent a funeral spray,
If so we saw it there.
Perhaps you spoke the kindest words,
    That anyone could say.
Perhaps you were not there at all,
Just thought of us that day.
Whatever you did to console our hearts,
We thank you all so much.
            Whatever the part.
