Dear Sandi
I was talking to Rod the other day and asked him about you. He told me that you are entering into a new chapter.
I am sorry for your illness that will not mend Sandi, you made so very many advances, it was very inspiring from my sight point.
I am imagining the parts that I did not see that were harder, I believe you have been supported by your family and friends, you were always with a sense of humour when I saw you.
I wanted you to know that the times I have hung out with you, and your family, was fun! The skating nights, the bridge times, a special friends Vernissage (Josee) and the wallet making. Your enthusiasm is wonderfully contagious.
Rod was often telling me of this person, you, that he wanted me to meet. He thought we shared the love of craft. I had not met you when you put your name, and your friends, into the hat for the ‘Amazing Race’. He showed me the video submission. Then I thought, wow these two are so full of energy and sense of adventure! When I did finally meet you, it was still very much apparent that, that is your true character.
I do believe we share the importance of craft, although we have not talked too much about what we have both done and enjoy. I know for sure we share the recycling vibe! The tea cozy Rod has is a wonderful example.
Oh Sandy, I am sending you a big hug, and this little felted rabbit. I hope you feel the warmth of my hug and joy of a handy craft shared….

What a superwoman! I loved seeing Sandy every year at Dr. Turners and hearing about her remarkable range of activities over the past 4 years from Diane and Bob. Sandy was an inspiration to all of us who want to make the most of our lives and our opportunities. Our more sincere condolences to Sandy's family and closest friends.

We are also so incredibly sad to hear the news of Sandy. Going to the dentist was like visiting a dear friend. Like so many others, we loved hearing stories of you three girls and her countless adventures with Birgit and the Holland Cross gang. This past journey through her treatments has been so inspiring. She will be deeply missed! Thinking of you all... Kristy, Christian and Pippa

We are so sorry for your loss. Sandy was more than a hygienist... she was thoughtful, warm and so friendly that we looked forward to our dental appointments. She spoke fondly and proudly of her family. We pray for comfort for all of you as you mourn her loss.
