Sandy and Joe, you continue to be in our thoughts and prayers. I hope that your transition back to St Louis has gone smoothly and that Sandy’s recovery continues to progress. May you and your family feel the thoughts and prayers sent your way, especially during this Thanksgiving and upcoming holiday season.

Dear Joe,
Many of Sandy's Fontbonne friends have just learned of her terrible accident. She and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. You are all such strong and supportive individuals. Her recovery seems amazing. We wish you all love and support. Please use this site to keep us all informed. It is a wonderful tool when time is so limited.

Joe, so good to hear from you. Sandy's continued improvement is encouraging. I believe it will do her (and you) much good to come home and with Sandy's determination it will be she who drives her continued recovery no matter the source of the therapy. I see that others have responded to your request for possible non-medical caregivers, so maybe you already have that need addressed. If not, while I don't have a particular individual to suggest, I do have the name of a company that provides such services. The company name is Senior Helpers. They will match one of their care giver employees with Sandy based on information you provide them about Sandy's needs. The name Senior Helpers is misleading in that they work with individuals of all ages. I used them about 8 years ago when I broke my ankle, couldn't drive, was getting around on crutches, needed a driver to drive me to work and other locations and help me around the house when Martha was out of town on business. They were great. If you are interested and there is still a need, the telephone number at which you can reach them is 636-285-8742. Martha and I are looking forward to Sandy's return to the neighborhood and to seeing you both.

What wonderful news. It will be great to have Sandy back, and she’ll be so much more comfortable in her own home. The Rehab Institute is wonderful, and so close to your home. Give her a big hug.
