Sandi’s Story

Site created on March 18, 2018

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Sandi was admitted to the St. Cloud hospital on Wednesday, March 14th, 2018.  Her Psoriasis was full blown and inflamed.  We were told that she has Sepsis which is an infection.  Then she developed another infection called MRSA, C-dif and aspiration pneumonia. Sandi is on a breathing tube and getting liquid nutrition via a tube down her throat. She was also on a ventilator and still is but she's actually breathing on her own and the machine is a backup.

Sandi needs LOTS of prayers. They may need to do a tracheotomy on Wednesday. Her Psoriasis is healing well with getting lotion applied twice a day.

Newest Update

Journal entry by Karen Marchand

An update on Sandi. She is doing much better and is at a rehab facility to gain her muscle back. She is on her feet and on the move with a walker. She still has the feeding tube and needs to start eating more so they can cut back on the feeding tube and get that taken out soon. ( It has to stay in for a total of at least 6 weeks once it's put in.) More prayers for her continued recovery is most welcome if you don't mind. Thank you!
