Trish,

I remember D-day well. I knew the moment that I looked in his mouth that it was not good. :( I remember telling my nurse that this little boy has cancer and now we have to find it. We called the lab as soon as they had the blood to push them to run it faster. My heart was breaking for you, I knew what was coming. I'm sorry that you got such a harsh reaction when you asked questions :(

Sam's journey has inspired me to do more in the medicine world. Your story of faithfulness in the face of fear has inspired me to live a life without fear; to use all the gifts God has given to me. I have been called to Texas Children's in Houston working with complex pediatric kiddos. It is a new venture for some of the most chronic pediatric patients. An opportunity that I would have never been given without Sam.

I am thankful that God gave me the opportunity to care for your family. I'm certain that Sam's life and his legacy will have a lasting impact on more lives than just mine.

Blessings to you all!

Michelle
