I was watching EWTN not long ago and there was a Priest talking and he said we are all under construction. How true that is! Sam is under construction by GOD. He is the Master Builder. I think when we come out of this Coronavirus we will all be different people.. Thank God

This is a beautiful new chapter in your ongoing story that God is writing of your lives with Him.
It is a strong testimony to your faith walk. Thank you for sharing. He is writing the script!

Oh I am so blessed by this post! Seeing your faces and being settled in your 'forever' house! Jill your strength I know is from the
Lord and He is so mighty, but He has given YOU strength beyond measure! I praise and thank Him for this! Your words about your morning devotions are so great. Would you believe that Burt and I just started this as well! We older people must be strong for the younger at this time because they will take note of that in the years ahead for them! Love you both so much! Keep the faith and stay the course because this life is just a whisper of what’s to come! 😘😘😘😘😘❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️✝️✝️✝️✝️✝️

Jill,
What a great praise! You have walked this road with such dependence on Christ and given such glory to His Name! I'm so grateful to hear from you with this great update.
I wanted share something with you that has really blessed me in this time of quarantine.
John Piper has written a book called Coronavirus and Christ, which he is sharing for free in ebook form, audiobook and written book. It's available from https://www.desiringgod.org/books/coronavirus-and-christ. I’m listening to it. He says God has given the coronavirus to bring us to repentance. He shares a poem by Martha Snell Nicholson called The Thorn. Beautiful!! Especially the last 4 lines. I thought this would bless you. Grace and peace to you both!

I stood a mendicant (beggar) of God
before his royal throne
And begged Him for a priceless gift,
which I could call my own.
I took the gift from out His hand,
but as I would depart,
I cried, “But Lord, this is a thorn
and it has pierced my heart.
“This is a strange, hurtful gift
that thou hast given me.”
He said, “My child, I give good gifts
and gave my best to thee.”
I took it home and though at first,
the cruel thorn hurt sore;
As long years passed I learned at last
to love it more and more.
I learned He never gives a thorn
without this added grace…
He takes the thorn to pin aside…
the veil which hides His face.
~ Martha Snell Nicholson
