Since my last post to you, it has been a little over one month in our new home!  You read that right!  I realized not long after Sam’s accident that I needed to learn the best way to care well for Sam. So with the LORD’s prompting, strength, and help when January 2020 arrived, I began the reduction of our earthly goods.  I prayed, and He provided….every step of the way!  What an abundance of Blessings arrived through all of you! THE LORD BE PRAISED!!!  We thank JESUS for you!!! 

I would love to name each one of you 
that helped us get out of one house and into another, but would grieve if I overlooked any one.  GOD sold our home “The Enchanted Forest” within 7 days, and HE led us to put an offer on our present home on the same day.  We moved to a perfect next place that GOD made available for us just 2 miles from our sons’s family—a 55+ independent community of homes of wonderful people!  We call our home “The Cozy Cottage”.  


GOD’s timing is PERFECT!!!  Did we know what was coming?!!!  GOD is the Blessed Controller of ALL things and what He has taught me only could have occurred through this 16 month trial of learning to trust the LORD with everything.  


So where is Sam now?  We know that GOD can heal Sam completely at any time.  For now we are working with our new normal as we seek Him daily. Exercise mentally and physically daily is so important.  Sam is unable to be alone due to instability and uncertainty when standing.  

He walks
 a slow pace with a walking stick and his stride is inconsistent.  Sam’s long term memory is doing fairly well.  He has begun to rememberthings that have happened a week ago.  He exercises cognitively through brain games on the internet and continues to love reading.  We await to see if Sam can drive at a future time.   We’ve been thinking through places that Sam may be able to volunteer with the help of a friend once the lockdown has lifted.  

Sam loves good
, stimulating and cheerful conversation both by phone (call my cell) and in person (as soon as the virus has lifted). It’s surprising to hear him chime in when a legal discussion is taking place. Thanks be to GOD that Sam awakens each day excited to have a very long devotion time---really the first time we’ve done this together in our marriage! One verse that jumped out to us through a very reflective Lenten season together is:  

“But everything exposed by the light becomes visible.  This is why it is said:  ‘Wake up, O sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.” Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.  Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.  Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery.  Instead, be filled with the Spirit.  Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs.  Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.  Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.”  Ephesians 5:13-21


And, for me, Jill, I’ve been trying to live at PEACE daily as Paul so humbly writes:

“I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty.  I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want.  I can do everything through him who gives me strength.” Philippians 4:12-23

If I’ve learned anything over and over and over this past 16 months is that in Christ when I am weak, then I am strong. 2 Corinthians 12:10


We THANK YOU THE LORD for the immeasurable love from each of you!  Praise Him for the donations, the sacrifice and the care that you have given to us this past 16 months!  I have learned that it is His joy to shepherd us and be our constant provider, and we are totally dependent on Him for everything.  We seek His face and are sitting like two birds in the wilderness awaiting our time to fly.  With the wonderful help from all of you dear friends no further funding is needed.  What a PRAISE!  We received mercy and found grace to help us in our time of need (Hebrews 4:16)!   THANK YOU, LORD!!!

I don’t know when I will post next, but we know the LORD has placed you so often in our hearts and pray for you.  Thank you for praying for usthrough every inch of Sam’s long recovery!

Shout for joy to the LORD all the earth.  For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations. Psalm 100: 1, 5


He has Risen indeed!  HALLELUJAH!!!
