Sally, you continue to be such a model and inspiration for us all. The wisdom and compassion and skills you shared with our community through your many years of work of building and sustaining Kidsafe continues on in the form of showing us all how to handle personal adversity with such tremendous courage, grace and positivity. You’ve earned this retirement, and I know you intend to enjoy it to the fullest. Shine on! And thank you, thank you, thank you for your work that has transformed the protection of children and families in our community.

Sally, you are a continuing inspiration, personally, and professionally. Cancer absolutely sucks, but it is no match for you, my fellow relentless optimist! I hope that you continue to find joy in this challenging journey, and surround yourself with love and laughter! You are leaving a tremendous legacy at Kidsafe, and I feel so lucky to have known you in that role, and at UVM on the Children's Hospital Advisory. Sending so much love, light, and hope to you in this holiday season! Hope to catch up with you in the new year! ❤️

I love you, Sally. You have worked wonders in your career dedicated to the safety, dignity, and well-being of children, and KidSafe has forever changed for the better how all of us who work with children think about systems that support them. ♥️ Thank you. You are the most wonderful kind of friend. ♥️ And please picture me shouting with all my might, “F*ck cancer!!!!” many times, which is true and also helps me practice my growing skill with swear words. I have learned so much from you about strength and courage and grace and the importance of showing up. ♥️

You have shown that Cancer does not define you! Happy retirement and thank you for serving so, so many children and families these last many years. Your impact in their lives has been quietly monumental. I wish I were closer to celebrate with you, but sending healing warmth from Florida. ❤️❤️
