Salina’s Story

Site created on July 3, 2019

Hi, my name is Salina and I'm 25 years old. In June 2019, I was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer with metastasis to the liver with unknown primary origin. Follow me on my journey to kick cancer's ass.

Journal entry by Salina Adtani

I know it's been a while since I've posted but I've had a really rough couple of weeks. I felt super lethargic for two full days and slept the entire time. I knew something wasn't right so we came in to the ER on Saturday August 24 and I've been in the hospital since. I've gotten 6 blood transfusions while I've been here and multiple potassium IVs because my potassium keeps dropping to critical levels.

Yesterday they did a endometrial biopsy so the results should be back within the week. Our main concern is to stop the bleeding and keep my potassium up at this point. The doctor is hoping to discharge me by the end of this week so hopefully I'm out of here by Sunday latest but you never know. Also, I'm starting to get tired of this hospital food😩

Although it's been a really rough and draining couple of weeks, I'm still fighting.

Also, huge shoutout to Christal, Kelly, and Lizzy for taking turns staying with me every night while I've been at the hospital.
