Thank You Mat! We Love it!

Ryleigh was given to us at 8:24 pm on June 4, 2006. We immediately fell in love with this beautiful baby girl...her blue eyes, Shinn nose and crazy hair were only the beginning of our much anticipated discovery about our precious daughter. The day after she was born the pediatrician noticed a murmur and our cardiologist confirmed a heart defect known as VSD (a hole in her heart) and also redundant tissue that will need to be removed. It was difficult to hear and has been intense at times...however, we are dealing with everything one day at a time. Please pray for Ryleigh...for her daily comfort and for her upcoming surgery at Arkansas Childrens Hospital in Little Rock. We know God has a special plan for this sweet baby girl...and we're so thankful to be a part of it.

Journal entry by Bernie and Janet King

Ryleigh’s chest X-ray is unchanged and her lung volumes are a bit lower today.  We praise Jesus for His mercy with better sedation and seizure control today. We praise Jesus for His sustainment and the strength He has given her heart. I was able to help give her a bath last night....it was one of the sweetest hours we’ve had in a long while...I took my time washing and rinsing her precious curls...the sweet moments when I am allowed to be extra close to her precious face are so good for my heart.  Our hearts ache for her...her sweet voice, her kisses and hugs, her wild spirit, her beautiful eyes, her belly laugh and laying next to her.  It’s been a month tomorrow and we miss her so much.  We will wait for His healing.  We will wait forever.  Please continue to join us in fervent prayer for complete healing, for no internal bleeding, tender mercy, sweet comfort, and for her body to grow in strength. Thank you for all of your love, prayers and support.  We are so thankful.  We love you.

Psalm 34:18
The Lord is close to the broken-hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
