Journal entry by KimandRyan Pendergraft —
i was scheduled to be at MD Anderson last week, but ended up soending 4 days in the Methodist Transplant and Specialty Hospital.
I was getting ready to play in a golf tournament with Kim, and really started feeling bad. It was so bad I quit playing and went home. Kim came home and I was running a 102* fever and I earned a trip to the ER. I had a urinary tract infection. These are not uncommon in transplant recipients, but can be dangerous if left unattended.
I had to cancel my MD Anderson appointments and was given IV anto-biotics and the fever went away and the UTI started to abate. This took place a couple of weekends ago.
I am waiting on MD Anderson to reschedule. I am doing great, feeling good, and hope to keep doing what I am doing.
As soon as I get dates to MD Anderson, I will let yall know.
