Ryan Paulson, loving husband, father and friend, was shoveling snow off his roof (to prevent damage to their family home from a recent snow storm) when he slipped and fell and sustained major injuries. Ryan broke his back, and has undergone extensive surgery. He is recovering, but it may be a very long time before life is back to "normal".

Ryan's family is still in shock as they are navigating this challenging time.

Collete and Ryan would never ask for help, but they are going to need it with three small children at home and Ryan being the sole income provider for his family. It may be up to a year or more before he is recovered and can start working again.

Please contribute whatever you can to help the Paulson Family overcome this financial burden from this very unfortunate accident.

Thank you for your love and support for this amazing family.

Journal entry by Collete Paulson

Ryan is at his first physical therapy appointment right now. It is the first time in seven weeks that he has left the house by himself, been in the car by himself, and even better drove the car by himself. I am sure that it probably feels pretty good to not have me following him around saying things like "do you think that weighs more than 20 pounds", "how are you feeling", "do you need to take it easy?"

Nonetheless it is good to get things closer to how they were before this all and feel like we are getting back to our routine. It also helps tremendously that the weather is much nicer and the kids can be outside playing instead of cooped up inside the house. Means more sanity for the parents. :)

Sending Easter joy and well wishes to you all!
