Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting. Hello all as most if you know ruben tested positive for corona on nov 22. In the beginning his symptoms were mild, by saturday 28 he was in bad shape and on the 29 th he made the call to go to the hospital as his o2 was at 70! He was admitted and continued to struggle. On the 4th of dec. he was put in icu, shortly after his lung collapsed and chest tubes were put in . Then intubated and sedated...all this happened VERY fast! With the holidays quickly approaching i knew my best friend wouldnt be here to celebrated his favorite time of yr but also knew we needed to stay positive and continue on...it was the absolute hardest thing me and the kids ever have had to do but we held on to each other and knowing that we serve an awesome God and that brought us through...even when we felt we couldnt! A very dear friend introduced me to this site and i thought it would be pretty cool for ruben to be able to come here and see the well wishes and prayers and all the outpouring of love. Please feel free to leave positive thoughts or anything you think ruben would like to see. I will try and update so that can journey with is in his recovery. God bless you all !

Good morning well as you are are probably aware ruben went home to be with his Lord and Savior...im heartbroken devastated and so much more, but knowing ruben is in the presence of God brings me comfort and peace. That is where ruben was always happiest ...spending time with God. I thank you all for your show of love, kindness and prayers. May God bless you always.
