Roy’s Story

Site created on December 4, 2019

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

On Monday night, December 2nd my Dad fell in a parking lot and was brought to Fairview Ridges ER. Walking into the ER he had a seizure and fell again this fall was bad caused a sub-dermal hematoma, bleeding in the brain.  He was sent to  Region trauma center in St. Paul and had Surgery to relieve the pressure in his brain.

Dad came through the surgery and is currently in the surgical ICU at Regions.  Dad made positive steps toward recovery yesterday and the doctors will continue to monitor his progress.

He is not yet at the point to receive phone calls or visitors. Eli and I will updated here as information comes in.

Eli  and I also want to thank all of you for your prayers, and many offers to help. We truly appreciate you all and it’s very comforting to know my dad has a strong support system of wonderful caring people in his life.

Journal entry by Eli Bressler

Hello Everyone,
Just wanted to send an update. Its official. The VA has restricted visitors for now until futher notice.
Roy is doing well, there is nothing to be concerned about at the poly trauma unit. But the staff has informed us they are implementing protocols to ensure the staff and patients are as protected as they can be.
We will still get updates from the staff and post them here.

God Bless,
hope this finds you healthy and safe
