Roxanne taught me how important curiosity is in a mediator. That has been an enduring insight in my professional activities. Her positive nature nurtured her mentees into confidence and improved skill. I owe her a huge thanks. May Roxanne’s family be assured she left a wide and deep legacy.

Roxanne was a smile, a grin, a laugh --- even though I did not see her often, her face was the one I looked for first at every conference and every training.
She had insight, compassion, a judicious balance of right and necessary. Mostly Roxanne had love: for her family, friends, fellow professionals, and
anyone she met who needed to feel valued.

I am so sorry to hear of Roxanne’s very unexpected passing. My husband, Gary Kretchmer, and Roxanne knew each other well through their lifelong careers as mediators and social workers. They belonged to many of the same organizations, and shared the same passion for helping families and children through mediation. Anne, I got to know Roxanne on a more personal basis when you and your family lived right behind us several years ago. When Roxanne was at your house visiting , she would always let Gary know she was “in the neighborhood” and they would meet up at the back fence, or she would come over and bring her granddaughter Addy over for a visit or a fun stroller ride to sooth her while she and Gary could visit. Those times were when I got to know Roxanne better. They both had fun with these neighborhood visits!
Gary passed unexpectedly December 29th, 2020.
Roxanne was loved by so many, and left behind a wonderful legacy as a wife, mother, grandmother, and social worker/ mediator. She was loved by so many.
Sincerely, Sheryl Kretchmer

I have so many wonderful memories that I scarcely know where to begin. Roxanne and I spent so much time together over the years as we watched our daughters grow into young women. Roxanne had an absolute knack for bringing creativity to everything from growing giant tubs of lovely flowers to serving as the best Blue Bird leader for our daughters and friends. I remember the Halloween parties with kids bobbing for apples (back when it was OK to do so), and fun events at the grange including poultry swaps and chicken fly's. She brought joy, humor and boundless energy to everything she did. I shall miss her terribly.

My love to Ron, Anne, Clay and all of your family.

While I did not know your mother Anne, I know how much she cared for, and helped you. What a wonderful role model you had and what a full life she lived. What a wonderful tribute to read. Sending love, peace and condolences during this difficult time. ❤️

Roxanne was such a warm person that always made everyone feel special when you were around her. We first met when our boys played baseball at Dornwood. There were a group of “Moms” that would sit in our lawn chairs to watch the game. Of the conversations we had while those games were going on. There was also to trip to Wichita for State tournament. The Dads took some of the guys to a movie. We were left to supervise a few that didn’t want to go. A couple of interesting stories there. We also enjoyed playing Bunco for a time.
It never mattered how much time had passed, when we ran into each other there was always time to catch up. I am so sorry for your loss. I can’t imagine her being gone from your lives.
Try to keep her close in heart and remember all the love that she showered on you.

Roxanne truly leaves a huge void behind. Her gift of presence, encouragement and belief that others could be better if given the right training and support, lives in those she shared her gift with. I consider my self blessed to have had 1:1 training with her. It truly changed the trajectory of my career.

Be encouraged! Continue to love out loud.

As I sit here working on cases and reports that are formed from the skills developed and mentored by others, I am so grateful to have had the last 10 years to work and laugh with her. The world will probably never know what a loss to social work and mediation Roxanne’s passing is and I know Roxanne did not know how much I miss her and will continue to miss her in my life. 💔. “The effect you have on others is the most valuable currency there is”~ Jim Carrey.
