Rosalind’s Story

Site created on September 27, 2019

Welcome to our Caring bridge site for Rosalind Carter!! On the night of Wednesday, September 24th Rosalind was rushed to United Hospital because she was having a major stroke caused by a ruptured carotid artery that formed a blood clot. When removing the blood clot, little pieces of the clot broke off and went into her brain which caused swelling. Her doctors then decided to put her on a medication to help reduce the swelling over night. Unfortunately the swelling did not go down so on September 27th so doctors had Roz undergo a decompressive Craniectomy; a surgery where they remove a piece of the skull to help reduce the swelling.  As of 2pm on Friday the 27th, she is out of surgery and the doctors said everything went well. Roz is currently under sedation and will be for the next week. Roz has a long road to recovery ahead of her. Her husband Michael has been here very step of the way. As many of you know Michael is the sole bread winner of the household. Any donations will be going towards medical bills, and bills the family may have. Please share her story and keep her and her family in your prayers!!!

Hello everyone!!!

I just wanted to let everyone know Roz has been moved to room 107. Roz is still in pretty good spirits with everything going on (she is very frustrated that she cannot leave and go for rides in the car around town, or that good cannot be brought into her). We are still encouraging friends, family, ect to visit Roz to help her keep her sprits up!!
We are also asking for letters, or cards be sent to Roz just to give her something to cheer her up😊
Roz’s mailing address is:
1175 Nininger Rd
Hastings MN 55033
Address to Roz Carter room 107

Thank you all for your continued support and prayers!!! We appreciate everything❤️
