Today is day 17 of Ron’s recovery and he is doing well.  Ron is able to get out of bed with help and sit in a chair to eat breakfast and lunch.  He is able to stay in the chair for about an hour.  This important in his healing.  Ron has wound care still twice daily and he has to be heavily sedated.  His spirits are good and he is motivated to do as much as he physically can to recover.  Hopefully he will try to walk within a day or two.  Again, we thank you all for your continued support, love and offerings.  Our hearts are full and forever grateful!

Love and tremendous appreciation,

Ron, Jakki & Harley

Today is day 13 since Ron’s accident.  It is also day 4 post surgery.  The skin grafts appear to be taking.  WAHOOOO!  He is no longer on the ventilator and I just finished feeding his him lunch.  He cries a lot for many reasons but is beyond thankful for all of your prayers as I am.  Thank you never seems to measure up to all of what everyone has done, thought and offered.God bless all of you!

Very truly yours,

Today is day two from surgery and is also referred to as “take down day” where the nurses and Dr.’s will undress Ron’s bandages and review the skin grafting sites to evaluate if the skin is taking.  Ron is still in a ventilator and unable to talk.

We we are overwhelmed with the outpouring of support, prayers, love and donations.  Words seem meaningless to say the least.

Our gratitude is unmeasurable!  Thank you to everyone for sharing, praying and offerings!

Very truly yours!

Ron, Jakki & Harley

It has been 1 week today and Ron is still in the ICU Burn Center.  He receives wound care twice daily which requires conscious sedation.
He is eating and with help, he can walk.  Ron’s Dr.s say he will require surgery for skin grafts.  He knows you all are praying for his recovery.  Thank you all so very much

Update:
Ron is still in the ICU Burn Center at UC Davis Medical.  He is heavily medicated to control the unimaginable pain.  Ron has wound care twice a day where they scrub the dead skin and blisters to allow his skin to start healing.  This requires him to be put into conscious sedation on top of the pain medication he is receiving.  Ron is in excruciating pain even with the pain medication.  He has a very long haul to recovery.  He and his wife Jakki are truly grateful for the outpouring of support, prayers and love.  If you would like to donate to help ease the financial burden which is mounting daily, please use the GoFundMe link attached.

I’m just doing a very quick update to get the journal started for Ron and Jakki.
Ron is in the icu burn at U C Davis. They are concentrating on cleaning burns and making him comfortable. Rest is crucial at this time. Jakki is getting items ready to go and stay in the area for the next few days. They will update this site with all the new information as they receive it. They wish to thank everyone for the amazing outpouring of love, support and prayers.
