This past Sunday, some of Elena’s family joined her, two of her sons, her daughter-in-law and grandson at the cabin where the Helmuth’s and Perkins’s families have spent Memorial Day weekend for more than 20 years. The occasion was to spread some of Ron’s ashes on the pond at the cabin, a place he loved so much. On Monday we hiked to the Lost Creek waterfall to spread some ashes at another place he loved and visited frequently with whoever happened to be with him at the cabin.
A reminder that a memorial service will be held this Saturday at the First Presbyterian Church of Bethlehem, 2344 Center street, at 11am.
