Journal entry by Daniel Paradee

Today Friday September 20th Ron finished with his in house rehab at Courage Kenny in Golden Valley! Ron will still be going to rehab at United hospital in St.paul starting next tuesday. It looks like he will go there two times a week for Out patient rehab and be able to stay at home from now on. While at Courage kenny he was mostly in a wheelchair or a bed when he was not doing one of his rehabs. Now being at home he will be using the walker inside of the house and during short distance outings instead of the wheelchair so much so he can spend more time walking and putting weight on his legs so he can strengthen them. His strength is down but is not terrible. He can get out of a chair or a couch with little or no help. Along with rehab at United Hospital he will also be going to the YMCA to work on getting stronger by lifting weights, riding the sitdown bicycle and spending time in the water. He is home and is looking forward to sleeping in his own bed once again! feel free to give him a call 651-778-1769! He also has a newer car (2009 Toyota Corolla) that he will someday be able to drive.
