Roland’s Story

Site created on July 29, 2019

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

On Saturday,  July 27th while up at their lake cabin, dad woke up with chest pains.   Bad enough that he woke up mom and told her that he needed an ambulance.   He was originally taken to the hospital in Grand Rapids,  they didn't have a cardiac unit to assist,  so off he went to Duluth.  After multiple tests,  they found that he has 70-80% blockage in 3 major arteries.   Surgery has been scheduled for Wednesday, July 31.

Another milestone day today as Dad was released from rehab!!!!  Now begins cardiac rehab as well as other Dr. Appointments..... but he is ready to be home after all this.   He thanks everyone for their thoughts and notes during this adventure.   I'll continue to update as he will continue to get stronger and more active.
