Roger’s Story

Site created on November 13, 2021

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement.
On Friday November 5th, Roger was brought to Willmar due to Covid complications where he was also diagnosed with pneumonia.  He was then transferred to Long Prairie CentraCare, until they could find an open ICU bed in the area.
On Wednesday November 10th an ICU bed became available, so he was airlifted to Fargo ND (Sanford on Broadway). He has been sedated and intubated to help him recover.
Darleen and family are taking turns staying with Roger. He is allowed up to two visitors per day from 10am-12pm and 6pm-8pm.
Thank you for your continued prayers and support. We will update this with changes on Roger's progress.
With love ,

81 days.

That is how many days Roger has been hospitalized.
And tomorrow he will be COMING HOME!

November 5th - January 25
Thanksgiving, Christmas, the New Year all passed. In fact the glow of Halloween was still around when he was admitted to the hospital. It’s hard to believe how much time has passed.

Roger has endured so much, and it is a miracle he is alive. There is no other explanation. Thank you for the love and prayers you have given to Roger and Darleen. Your support has meant so much to the family.

Roger will continue to work on his rehabilitation plan, and he is gaining strength daily. We have no doubt he will continue to do amazing things.
