Dear Wendi, Neil and I were heartbroken to hear the news of Rod's passing. We always enjoyed our time with both of you during your visits to SD, and SO much appreciated your generous hospitality during our visit to Colorado. You two seemed so happy together and you spread your joy with all. We're sending you love, and hope that your memories will eventually be of some comfort to you.

Wendi, I was so sorry and shocked to hear of Rod's passing. A real sweet guy. I heard about it from Margo. I was hoping we'd get a chance to meet on a dance floor once. His story about growing up with his dad Trumon is in the Birmingham Black Radio Museum - https://www.thebbrm.org/item/532 - It says a lot about how a fine character is shaped.

Oh my Dearest Wendi, Elizabeth Spring told me of Rod's passing. I am at a loss for words. I know how much you loved him and loved your life together. I am praying for his transition and for your precious being as you move forward. I know he is with you. He was one of the kindest, most generous people I have ever known. I am grateful you made a good life together. I miss you, dear friend. Love always, Amy

Hi Wendi,
I am so, so sorry for your loss. Rod was such a great guy as was evident from the outpouring of love since this sad news got out. I remember when Rod and I were filmed dancing together at the festival at Hard Rock in Ft. Lauderdale, by some man who gave us his card. He said we would be in the documentary that he was making. Well, THAT never happened and every time I saw Rod we chatted about what a let down that was. But also, we laughed about how it was their loss because we danced so well for the video! :) It was always so fun to see you 2 at a dance. and it was so nice of you to share him on the dance floor. I always considered myself lucky to call both of you my friends. I hope to see you again in better times. Take care. Trish

Wendi, holding you in our hearts. So very sorry to hear about Rod, and what you have been through. We treasure the moments we’ve shared with you two.

My mother has been leading a bereavement support group for many years and has a range of resources if that might be helpful at some point. Let us know what you need. Xoxo, Lynn & Kevin

Rob, Wendy, two special dance friends, rob will be so missed. Short story but one i will not forget. I was at the very hot towers before the ninigret festival and was very thirsty. Rob offered me a bear that he had stashed in his car. We walked out during break and shared some sorcial time over a beer while we looked back at the amazing towers, with the full moon just beyond it, as Rob told me the story of how they were married at the towers. It is a special place dor special people. Take care Wendy and we will dance again...
