Journal entry by christy richardson

Just want to update our people so you can be praying🙏🏻

Last week we had appointments at MDA in Houston and those are usually 2 packed days and we drive straight back. We did our appointments and should hv been driving home Wednesday morning, but Rodney was throwing up more and struggling to breath, so we decided to go to the MDA ER in hopes we could get his lung drained and get on the road.

We ended up there until 6 pm on Wednesday night with no draining, bc their prodical  is different there.🤦🏻‍♀️
We had to get oxygen to come home and got it delivered to our Airbnb at midnight. They didn’t bring enough, but I told the delivery guy we were just going to pray for God to multiply the air- which he did!🙌🏻

Rodney and I hv made all these trips alone, but by God’s Providence, I asked Ainsley to go with us this time and I am so grateful for that! Rodney was vomiting, coming in and out if consciousness, couldn’t talk right and couldn’t breath properly the entire drive back from Houston.

I had to get in the back seat to try to hold him up and keep him awake while Ainsley drove in the 90’s to get us home. I told her I felt like we were  in this horrible movie🤦🏻‍♀️
I talked to his doctors in Hattiesburg  while we were driving home and they were worried he had an obstruction. We drove  straight to the ER and they started all the testing.

By 9 pm his respiratory dropped to 5 and nurses started running into the room, beating his chest. They rushed him into another room and intubated him.  He was put in ICU Thursday night and I honestly didn’t think he would make it through the night.

Friday morning I walked into his ICU room and he was wide awake begging for them to take it out! By lunch they moved him to a face mask and by my 2 pm  visit, he just had the oxygen in his nose. 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

It’s been unbelievable!🎢

He actually could go to the floor, but we don’t hv enough beds at FGH, so he is still in ICU.

These are our prayer request:

-The fluid would stop filling his lungs and stomach

-His breathing would improve

- His stomach would wake up.

🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

The cancer is making things not go into his stomach. The cancer is shutting it all down.
The chemo has helped a lot of symptoms, except the prayer requests above🙄

Pls pray with us that things would work properly and he could eat again.! They won’t even let him hv water rn. Water won’t even go through his stomach! That is straight from Satan! This cancer is straight from Satan!!

God is bigger and Jesus wins, so pls pray to the God who is able to do immeasurably more with us!

A friend texted this picture to us while we were speeding home Thursday- It was prophetic! Rodney is truly the strongest person I hv ever known! He has suffered SO much and never complains. He is a walking testimony of strength and it is all a gracious and loving God who has poured super natural perseverance into him. Pls keep praying with us🙏🏻

We love y’all!!❤️

Christy
