Journal entry by Alexander Borwege —
Hello everyone!!
This will be the last update because dad is being discharged on Thursday March 4th at 10 am. He was staying at Courage Kenny rehab at Abott after being transferred from Regency hospital. There he was able to do more physical therapy about 3 hours a day. He’s been progressing so well that he’s on track to leave on Thursday. He’s been able to walk with the help of a walker and go up and down some steps with some help. He’s been able to do most things on his own such as shower and shave. And yesterday the physical therapist told him to slow down, you’re supposed to walk not jog haha. He will be continuing occupational therapy and physical therapy as an outpatient in owatonna. He needs to have a pulse oximeter to keep an eye on his oxygen levels, as he may need oxygen at home. He doesn’t need a speech therapist anymore. He worked his butt off as he wanted to get back home as soon as possible. We’re proud of him and the progress he has made. Regency hospital, Abott hospital, and Courage Kenny rehab did a wonderful job taking care of our dad and we can’t thank them enough.
Thank you all again for your continued support and prayers. We are so thankful for that!
