Today Rob is celebrating one month with his new liver!

One day and one month ago we didn’t know when Rob would receive a new liver and now it’s been a month.  There have been ups and downs as with any major surgery recovery but each day there are improvements.  Each day we see more energy and more self-sufficiency on Rob’s part.  The drs tell us the new liver is functioning well.  The journey isn’t complete but we are all pleased.  This will probably be my last post since we don’t expect fast changes in the coming weeks. No news will be good news.

We continue to be grateful for the compassionate care of the entire Mayo Clinic staff; doctors, nurses, schedulers, greeters and others behind the scenes. Everyday we have been welcomed with smiles, caring and respect.  We are also grateful to God who has been our support and hope throughout.  Words can’t express how grateful we are to all who have prayed, faithfully been in touch and sent their thoughts our way. I know many people we do not know or who do not know Ron personally have been supporting us in many ways, please accept our thanks too.

Thank you.
