I was “gifted” a weekend out of town. A MUCH NEEDED getaway. A chance to process, grieve, ponder, reflect, read ALL the cards and notes. I also watched last week’s Celebration Service for Rob - this time not as a participant but as an observer. I cried, I laughed, I gained new insight. I walked away encouraged and inspired. It was so much more than a story of one man’s life. There was lessons that I want to consider for a long time.
If you get a chance, I really hope you get a chance to watch this service. It was so much more than I even prayed for. What a God!
I have amazing and talented friends- thank you Worship Team, amazing family-thank you Lissa, Emma and Jonathan, Callie Rose, an amazing pastor-Joel, amazing friends-Mike, Duane, Neri & Sam, amazing Children-Kati, Karilee, Kourtney Rae, Kalli and Kyle and mostly an amazing God.
Rob was honored. God was glorified. Thank you to EVERYONE who helped with the reception (especially Blair and Sarah), and ALL the staff at the Chapel.
And to Every. Single. Person that showed up. Every one of you were participants in bringing praise to our Lord and encouragement and comfort to our family.
I am still grieving Rob, but I will call it “glorious grieving”, because even in the midst of this pain, I feel my Father’s presence.
Thank you all.
God is so good.
