Robert’s Story

Site created on January 31, 2019

Dear Family and Friends,

As many of you know, Robert was diagnosed with prostate cancer February 2012.  For the past seven years, Robert has been under his urologists care. He went through radiation and hormone therapy for the first six years and while the prostate cancer was aggressive from day 1, his wonderful urologist, Dr Rogness was able to keep his prostate cancer controlled and contained.

October 2017, the prostate cancer began to metastasize to other areas in his body. At that point, Robert began seeing his oncologist, Dr. Stone.  Over the past 15 months, Robert has had several different forms of chemotherapy.

Two weeks ago, Robert learned that the chemotherapy was no longer working and scans showed that his liver and kidneys were filled with cancer tumors.

While we have kept somewhat private about all, we believe in the power of prayer and ask for all of you to pray for Robert during this time.  He has been so strong these past years and he is so positive.

Robert is currently in the hospital.

Pray that the nephrostomy tubes being placed tomorrow morning will allow his kidneys to function better.

Pray that Robert will not get any infections.

Pray that Robert would be able to enjoy good time with friends and family, and be free of pain.

I am heartbroken to share that my husband of 25 years, Robert Wynne, passed away early this morning after a 7 year battle against cancer. Through all of the years of treatments and hospital and doctor visits, he never let his illness change his joyful spirit. Rob truly was the strongest, most positive and courageous man I have ever known. He was an amazing husband, father, brother, son, and friend. We are all so blessed for the impact he has made on our lives, and are thankful to know that he is in Heaven resting now.
