I hope and pray that you both had a blessed wedding anniversary yesterday, wow seven years or month of marriage for the both of you and to see how God has blessed you both in a Godly marriage and to also see how God has blessed you both in many other ways has well. It makes me sad to see that God is getting the bad rap for bringing cancer. That's is only satan as clearly stated in John 10:10. Satan comes only to kill you...but Jesus came to bring LIFE (cancer is not life). How it must GRIEVE God to be blamed for disease when He promised to heal it. If God made us sick just to heal the sickness, that would be a very poor representation of God. It's disappointing to read that you believe God picks and chooses whom He heals. Psalm 103:3 says God heals ALL our diseases. I'm grateful to God for healing you, but sad that you think God heals some, but not all.
I listen to WCTS radio in Saint Paul, Minnesota, and I didn't know Robert had cancer. I am 65 years old this March and have been diagnosed with 2 different deadly cancers the past 5 years - breast cancer twice and Waldenstroms once. I am "currently" in remission, knowing full well that cancer is never really gone, but having Total faith in God's plan for me whatever time I have left and that no matter what happens, it's all good.
I refuse to let cancer run or ruin my life - "turn your face toward the sun (Son) and the shadows will fall behind you". Sending healing comforting prayers and best wishes to your family - no one walks alone, ever. - All Good Things in the Son.
