Dear Vilia,
Birgitta and I were stunned to read about Robert's passing. We are so grateful to have met him. He impressed me, inspired me and invigorated my ministry. We feel blessed that we got that evening and morning in Charleston together two years ago. We will always treasure that memory. You are daily in our prayers, Vilia. Hoping to see you again one day when we will be able to travel across the Atlantic again. Yours in Christ, Walter.

Oh Vilia, our hearts are broken as we mourn with you, just having learned of Bob's passing. As we wept together, we cherished the memory of being able to spend a couple of hours with both of you last summer in Williamsburg. What a blessing that was, and a chance once again to be witness to Bob's faith and trust in our sovereign Lord. Among the many missionaries we have known, no one was more in love with Jesus, and no one was more focused on spreading the Gospel and equipping the saints than Bob. We know he's Robert now, but we met him as "Bob" 40-ish years ago in Midland and witnessed you two finding your life's partner. The Walter team has been an inspiration to many, especially us. We pray for comfort for you and the family, especially Jim. Please know that we both weep and rejoice with you at Bob's home-going.
With Love From Gordon & Carol

Dear Villa, Missy and I are heartbroken to hear about Robert! I cannot begin to tell you the influence he had in my life. I could never have done much of what I have done in my adult life if I had never Robert! We have cried this weekend but laughed too, though a little as our pain is too acute, I can only imagine your sense of loss and pain. We long to speak with you when you can, know we love you and are in constant prayer for you and thanks for my precious pastor, Robert!

Dearest Vilia, after reading the beautiful, heartfelt expressions of love and condolences, you must realize what a powerful, blessed force you and Robert have been,...and will continue to be!!!
I see in your future a continuance, as you, through your beautiful gift of journaling and writing share this inspiring journey of love and grace and blessings lived with your soulmate, Robert! Now you, the quiet, strong back bone of Robert, can continue the journey, as you share many many deep insights from your travels and life together, in your very gifted writing style.
You have also been blessed and kissed by God, dear Vilia, and now Robert can continue to shine, with and through you, dear friend. Blessings and love and peace, the best is yet to come, as Robert already knows. Tears of sadness, hope and love for you dear friend. I have loved both of you very much💕. Karen L

My precious Vilia, Phil and I are so sad to hear this news. We all weren't ready for this but you were his true love and surely you weren't ready. So many memories are coming of the all that you.and Pastor taught us through the years.. Your love and friendship is so valuable to us. He always was teaching, even when we were planting azaleas in your backyard or on a flight. I know he is enjoying beautiful Garden with Jesus. I have so much more to say but will save it for later. I am making a project for Pastor that I will send to you when I finish. We love you. Phil and Janet
