Robert’s Story

Site created on March 2, 2020

Robert was diagnosed with blood cancer on Monday, February 24th. Acute Myeloid Leukemia. He is confined to the hospital for non stop chemotherapy for 3 weeks. That means intravenous chemo every minute every day to try to kill the cancerous blood cells.

Difficult as it was to learn, Vilia and Robert are feeling more peace than we'd expect, trusting the outcome to God and grateful to people like you lifting us up in prayer.

Journal entry by Vilia Walter

My dear family and friends,

It's with sadness that I must let you know that Robert passed away peacefully this morning at 3:41am.  He was my soul mate and very best friend.  I know that you loved and admired him also and that your prayers were, like mine, for a different outcome.  Now the good and faithful servant has come to the end of his earthly labors and is connecting with his Lord and Savior in a way we can't even begin to imagine.

Thank you for the support, prayers and love you've poured out on both of us.
Blessings and love,
Vilia
