How do I put one foot in front of the other and keep doing life one month after Robert’s passing?  Because I have hope that when we are “absent from the body, we are present with the Lord.”   My heart aches for the loss of my dear Robert, but I am thankful for these things:  

1. the HOPE we have in Christ and the tangeable way our coworkers encourage us including leaving this sign (pictured below) up as a testimony of Robert’s faith and the reminder that as time passes, leaves fall, seasons change, our hope is still in Christ; 

2. the faithful support of friends who do special things like (pictured below) planning outings with friends on the first month anniversary so Carter feels loved and supported; 

3.  for family who love on us, reach out to us and do anything they can to make sure we know we don’t grieve alone; 

4.   For friends who check in on us and help us in tangeable ways 

5.  For our church family who let me cry through worship, pass the tissues and  cry with me. 

6. For friends who encourage us to keep going, keep singing, and growing so we can continue to serve God through our pain. 

7. I could go on and on, this is the season of thanksgiving after all.  Please know that if you are reading this, we are thankful for you!  You haven’t forgotten to pray for us and the power of prayer is what we need.
