Robert’s Story

Site created on August 25, 2019

Hi all. On Thursday August 22,2019 Robert was struck by an SUV on his motorcycle near his place of employment. He is currently at North Memorial Hospital in the ICU. We’ve created this bridge so all of you can  be in the loop on Roberts current condition. We deeply appreciate all of your continued  prayers and concerns.

Right now we ask that everyone to refrain form coming to the hospital as Robert can only have two people at a time visit. Please leave this time for family.  He has been a bit responsive, even though he is sedated.  He knows we are there and that he is loved.  We have let him know you all are praying and sending wonderful thoughts to him on his recovery.  He may need to go to a rehab facility before going home.  This will be a long recovery and he will need our love and support.

Journal entry by Amy Reeder

Hello everyone, This is Robert writing this on Amy’s admin journal entry. I wanted to update you all on my progress. I am home now and letting my broken arms and broken ribs and other broken bones heal according to my surgeon’s directions. I have not hit the rehabilitation stage yet because I must heal first. I try to walk a little each day but I do get fatigued very easily so it’s a slow process.

A major Thank You goes out to my girlfriend Amy Reeder who has been by my side everyday and a wonderful caregiver above and beyond.

I would also like to Thank everyone who has brought food, given cards and sent so many wonderful well wishes and prayers. I truly am overwhelmed and blessed to have such wonderful, loving, generous friends/family in my life!

I love you all ❤️

Robert
