Robert’s Story

Site created on July 31, 2019

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Some of you may know and some may not. Sunday the 28th my stepdad Bob Nason had major surgery at the UW Madison University hospital. He had his aorta artery replaced and they removed a large aneurysm. The Dr’s said this is one of the biggest surgeries a person can ever have. He will be in the ICU in Madison for several days then eventually moved to rehabilitation. This will be a very long recovery. Currently my mom, Francy,  is staying at the hotel next door to the hospital, she doesn’t want to be too far away at this point.  Bob is stable for the time being and still in ICU. At this point the future is unclear. Drs don’t want to give any long term projections. However the one thing they have made clear, this is going to be a long process. Will keep this site up to date as things progress. We appreciate all the love and support.
