Christie, Your beautiful letter holds so much love for your mother. I know I am one of many who felt we were the lucky ones to call your mother friend. When I think of your mother I am reminded of something I read long ago “ A day in June could take a lesson from her”. I can still hear your mother laugh and picture her with the smile that always made my day. Thank you again for sharing your heart-felt words. John

Thank you, Christy, for letting me know. I already marked June 2 in my calendar.
What Terry just wrote is perfect! I’ll let you know if I think of anything to add.
I actually just thought of Rita last night when I went to see Momix at the District Theatre. I looked into the box office by the entrance, expecting to see her there.
My heart aches for you and reading how difficult this is for you made me cry, and also takes me back to when I lost my Dad, almost 31 years ago. The pain will always be there, but it will soften with time. I send you my love and healing thoughts.❤️‍🩹 Polly Ross

Hi Christie, thank you for posting dear Rita's celebration. My words would be" Our brightest, most beloved star". We loved her. She did have a hysterical shower when she was carrying you. I hope you couldn't hear the nonrepeatable conversations. Big hug, Terry Stephenson
