Despite mom being unresponsive, take solace- she is being kept free of pain. Hard as it is to stand by helplessly, I do believe she senses your presence . All you can do, when you are ready and feel it is appropriate, is let your mom know you and Nancy are both ok. Hugs to you both, as you negotiate this emotional rollercoaster....
