Riley’s Story

Site created on August 30, 2022

Welcome! With the assistance of a few family members, we will be using this site to keep everyone who loves Riley updated on how she’s doing. We love you all and are so thankful for your prayers. Thanks for visiting!

Riley is an incredible three-year-old girl.  She loves running and jumping, playing with her friends, and being silly with her family. She loves to live and lives to love, doing everything to the extreme and always smiling and laughing throughout. Everyday objects become a rocket ship, or an obstacle course that must be solved or summited. Her energy and creativity are boundless. She loves cheering people up and making people laugh, and making sure “everybody okay.” She knows that God is bigger and stronger than anything else and that he is watching over her, always.

A few months ago, Riley complained of pain in her legs and shortly after, she stopped walking altogether. That started a journey of numerous hospital visits, ER trips, X-rays, bloodwork, & specialists, as well as several treatments for things that did not turn out to be the problem at all. At the end of August, she was finally given an MRI and special blood tests which revealed the presence of what was likely Leukemia. Further bloodwork confirmed the diagnosis, ALL B-cell leukemia, with the recommendation to start treatment right away.

This is all happening pretty quickly, and we are going through the stages of processing, as we know you, our family and friends are too. We are feeling big feelings, and we are praying for a swift and full recovery.
