Rick’s Story

Site created on May 19, 2019

Rick was diagnosed officially with Lewy Body Dementia in December 10, 2015 although he was showing signs long before that date. Lewy Body Dementia is a combination of Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease. Lewy body is known for hallucinations that are very real to them. As his daughter, I was in denial for so long, blaming his hallucinations and confusion on his latest medication he was taking to treat other ailments. Things are progressing very quickly since Christmas 2018 so I thought I would start this page to keep everyone informed on how he doing.

At 4:30pm on this Good Friday, my dad gained his angel wings surrounded by love. No more pain, no more suffering. If you have your classic cars out yet, give it a little extra rev for dad♡. He is free and whole and all around. Thank you for all the love and support through this whole journey. It hasn't been easy. Services will be announced at a later date.
