Rick’s Story

On Monday, June 17th, 2019, Rick slipped stepping off the boat dock and took a serious fall which resulted in multiple skull fractures. A simple step he has taken countless times before. He is in the ICU of Fairview Hospital and had surgery a few hours after the injury to accommodate the brain swelling following the trauma. Your thoughts, prayers, words of encouragement and support are all very much appreciated! Rick is surrounded by family while his body and mind begin to heal. We will let you know once Rick is moved from the ICU and the doctors approve short visits from friends. If there is anyone you believe would like to be updated on Rick's progress, please send them a link to this site. Thank you again for all of your well wishes!

Thank you for keeping us in your thoughts since Rick’s passing.  Many of you have shared with us stories and memories of Rick, and that has brought us much comfort. 

Please find below further details for the arrangements occurring later this week. 

Friends may call at the BUSCH FUNERAL HOME, 21369 Center Ridge Road, Rocky River, OH from 2-7pm on Thursday, August 15.

A memorial service will be held at ST. CHRISTOPHER CHURCH, 20141 Detroit Road, Rocky River, OH 44116 on Friday, August 16 at 12:00pm.  

The family invites you to a reception immediately following the service, to continue the celebration of Rick.
