Rick remains in the COVID ICU at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, Al. He is on the ventilator on very high support and will be chemically sedated throughout his time on the vent. They are on a positioning schedule that allows his lungs to get more area for the oxygen to help him; this means putting him on his belly (prone) for 18hrs then on his back (supine) for 6. They will continue to do this as his lungs try to heal. He started some nutrition today through his dophoff tube. Please keep him in your prayers.
