I thought I'd let you all know that I am resurrecting my blog, A Little Ado About Everything. I will be writing there for now on, and will likely not add anything here, unless something new and pertinent to Ric's struggle comes to light. I will NOT be closing this down. Like my daily TikTok journal, I have found that people who never knew Rich have found this helpful as they make their own way down similar paths, whether as a caregiver or someone fighting the good fight. If our experience helps anyone find clarity or peace, I will keep this page up indefinitely.

But I need to turn my head away from the pain of the past year and find new ways of healing. Like last night, when I helped my foster dog Millie welcome 10 new puppies into this world. It was so nice to have hope and joy entering this home. I can't help but think Rich was watching over us, and maybe laughing a little at me. He knew I always wanted to whelp, but had put his foot down. Now, with 12 dogs in the house, he has to be saying "be careful what you wish for."

Well, I certainly didn't have many wishes come true last year, but 2023 is a clean slate, and I intend to make my mark on it.
