Our deepest sympathy to you and your family. I knew Rich from work. I work for Dollar General and I had talked to him on phone when we had questions and he would visit our store every now and then. He was always so nice and did whatever he could to help. The last time I saw him was close to the beginning of the month. I talked with him for a bit and he was right there helping out. He would never say no, even when he should have. He was a great man and will truly be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Karen and family, I remember Rich from high school and have many fond memories of him. At our 40th class reunion he was one of the first people to greet me, even if he didn’t remember me at first, but it made me feel good. He made me laugh and smile and was truly a great guy. I am so sorry for your loss and will keep you all in my prayers. Keep your memories close to your heart as that will keep him close too. Take care, Kimberlie West

My heart breaks for you and your family, Karen. Rich was one of the best people in life and you two put the meaning in love as a couple. He put up a good fight. and he will be missed. Don't be afraid to grieve and don't let anyone tell you how to grieve. Grief is selfish. It's his physical presence that you will miss in the silence. Feel it and own it. Rich is with you always, you just can't see him or touch him, but you can talk to him and know he hears you. I'm sorry for the long comment, I'm just so sad for you.

Karen and family,, Herb and I are at a loss for words to hear about Rich. We love both of you and enjoyed everytime you stopped and visited with Brick at your side. Rich’s positive attitude and his infectious smile was a joy to behold. Please know we are here for you and may God wrap his arms around you and your family and give you peace. Love, Carol and Herb

I have known Rich for 20 years and he always had a smile on his face and put others before himself. He worried about other people more than himself. When I asked how he was, he always told me, Everything is going to be okay. We called each other "Cancer Buddies". He was there when I was going thru chemotherapy and we just understood what each other was going thru.
I talked to him last Thursday and I will treasure that last phone call. Oh how wish I could have seen him one more time!
Karen, he loved you so. He spoke with love in his voice and his eyes always sparkled when he said your name.
His children were his world. He always told me how blessed he felt to have a family like his.
I will miss you my friend, I will see you on the other side! RIP
