Hi there - this is my second entry for today. It is about Sunday's memorial. First, I want to say that if you can join us, your presence will be greatly appreciated - it is very healing and helpful for us to be together during this difficult time.
The memorial is set for this Sunday, Nov 7, 1 pm PST which is 3 pm CST and 4 pm EST. I have previously posted the zoom link on this Caring Bridge page. This Sunday marks the end of daylight savings so make sure that you turn your clocks back one hour that morning. Note that we are planning to record the memorial. We have put together a program and asked certain people to share and speak about Rich. We are expecting over 70 different zoom screens with over 100 people attending so we regret that we cannot open it up for everyone to speak and share. If we did so, we probably would still be on Zoom the following day or perhaps even two days later (which tells you how much he was loved!).
We will be asking everyone to stay muted and we will use Zoom's Chat room feature as a place for people to type in their thoughts, memories, and reflections. We are thinking about gathering all notes and things that people write about Rich during this time and putting them into a book. We have not yet decided on the details for doing that, but once we have those details we will let you know.
