Journal entry by Rich Dixon

Dad has had a pretty good week since transfer . He has seemed to improve everyday. He has recognized all of his grandkids , even if he might not remember names right away. He does go from stages of talking with us in normal conversation ,to having confusion and not being able to remember certain words . He is antsy to get out of bed, and has tried to a couple of times on his own when one of us kids are not here to watch him. He is responding well to being transferred to chair from bed and back to bed when he becomes to tired to sit. His pain level at times is high but he refuses to take anymore pain meds than what they have him on. He isn’t eating much but has seemed to do well with protein drinks or milkshakes that we bring to him to drink. He gets pretty agitated when we try to get him to eat solid food but hopefully he will get better with that soon. We ask for continued prayers for healing , pain management , and comfort. God continues to work each and everyday on Dad and us kids to give us the strength for this long road and we give Him praise for all He has done and will continue to do.
