Journal entry by Ellen Mount —
So Saturday afternoon Dad was transported from Jackson General to Vanderbilt in hopes of finding some answers and a fix to his lungs and chest tube. Sunday we watched monitors and took advice from small gun doctors and lots of advice from the staff. His lung looked better but was still leaking air. So we waited for the big gun doctors. Morning rolled around and here came the big dog doctors each one with a different option for treatment and answers. So we started making desicions on which road to take. For now we are choosing to go with a patch over the valve in hopes of results. They clamped the chest tube and his breathing has been up and down if he stays stable they will patch it tomorrow
