Well the Times might have taken its time but at least the obit has finally appeared! Thanks for sending us the link. Not only did I learn new things about your dad but I never knew your mom's birth surname! Also, I wanted to let you know that a couple of weeks ago Blaise and I rode our bicycles through Laurel Hill West, visited the gravesite, and left two stones . . .
So glad to see this excellent obit in the NYT. Good for you for being persistent, David. Your father deserves all the accolades. I keep learning things about him I never knew. What a terrible loss but what a wonderfully fruitful and meaningful life he led. Thinking of you all! D
So glad you persisted David. This obit really captures his impact. But it is also a reminder of both child abuse and intimate partner violence. Both are Occurring more due to covid 19. Richard would have been even more proud to see that the spot light Is shining right on family violences through his obit Thank you David.

Yes, he was unique - and then some! But you and Jeff and your families also have so many pieces of him and your mother that will live on! I also would "edit" that, while he had occasional contests, he was beloved by many! Thanks, David, for your persistence!! There are many, many children alive today because of his tenacity.
