I am truly sorry for not responding sooner. I met Pastor Bond about 2 months after I got out of prison in December 21, 2018. Phillip Hovis took me over and we attended a Bible study there. The way Pastor taught was great. He let everyone who wanted to, be part of the study. After a while Phillip had been given the Saturday morning service and ask me to help. I did, and was blessed for being part of that group. After a while they let me have the 4th Saturday Bible Study by myself. Phillip said that it was because Pastor Bond trusted me. That humbled me. I knew that Pastor Bond knew the Bible, but I was amazed at just how much he knew about the heart of people. Yes, Pastor Bond's loved his work at OKC Compassion. Those shoes will be very, very hard to fill. I'm sorry to say that I did not know much about his Family, but I know this one thing, in order to love God and Love people, he must have had a Loving Wife and Children. I know that it hurts that he is gone, but just look at how much he Loved Jesus Christ, and how much he Loved his Family, and how much he loved helping people in the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ, then you should have Peace in the fact, that he is in Heaven waiting for you. Wonderful Man, and my life has been Blessed because I knew Pastor Bond's. God Bless You and Your Family. He called me "Woody" Hebrews 13:14 For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come.

I told Jeremy the other day, I hope to be as impactful in the world around me in my active years of ministry as Richard was just in his retirement years. Much love.

I was very saddened hearing this news yesterday. Wow, what to say about Pastor Bond. He was such a wonderful man! From Sunday lunches, football games, wedding ceremony, being by our sides during trials and tribulations. He was my girls first pastor and they always remember Pastor and Sherry. I loved his heart and compassion for everyone. He will be greatly missed by so many! Love you Pastor Bond and I’m so happy you are with our Heavenly Father now!

I am so sorry to hear this news. I can just hear his voice and the things he would say at a time like this. He was a very special person to me and my family. My mom truly loved being the church secretary for him as well as the other pastors at Antioch. Please know that those of us at Antioch will be praying for your comfort at this time (Sherry, Jeremy, Jeanna and all the family). He will be truly missed. Larry
