Just a short update on Mom. She recently was able to kiss the boot goodbye from ankle surgery. They are currently working on tapering her off of the Tacrolimus she is on for Host vs Graft so that her central line can finally be removed. However, Mom has had a flare up of gastrointestinal issues related to the Host vs Graft preventing them from continuing the taper. They’re trying to avoid putting her back on any of the steroids if at all possible so at this time they have put her back on an oral oil based medication she’s taken before. Mom would like to ask for prayers that this treatment works the way it is intended to do so she can continue to taper off of the steroids and make steps in the right direction.
