Journal entry by Kayla Carroll —
Hello everyone!
It has been a while since I've posted and see that I have a few updates in my drafts that I never posted! I must have fallen asleep in the process.
Rhett celebrated 1-year cancer-free post-treatment at the end of January! What a huge accomplishment!

He is doing amazing! He is thriving at school and loves it (most days)
He has made us proud in so many ways! Recently his school did the American Heart Association Heart Challenge and Rhett raised the most in the school!
He has learned to ride his bike workout training wheels!
Today was a big day SCAN DAY
The anxiety that builds us before this appointment for Bob, myself, and our families is intense. Rhett was feeling it with these scans because he knows how crucial the results are for his health. We don't know if we should wait to tell him or give him time to process prior to them. It is hard.
Rhett's scans are CLEAR today! Putting him at 15 months CANCER-FREE!
To say this is amazing is an understatement! His doctors are so proud and impressed with him, how well he is doing! They have asked if we would be open to speaking with their communications department to share Rhett’s remarkable journey and to give families with the same diagnosis a positive outlook. We accepted to do this!
We appreciate all of you for your love and support!
